Made in Italy, In keeping with the Beretta tradition, the new A300 Outlander is a soft-shooting gas-operated semi-auto. The rugged A300 Outlander is elegant, yet efficient, sleek yet strong, with slim graceful lines which leave an indelible impression at first sight.

The A300 Outlander has been manufactured with a reduced number of components (five main assembly groups), which can be stripped for easy disassembly and cleaning. The new auto combines the reliable Beretta bolt with falling block (locked breech). The gun has an advanced gas valve with a self-cleaning cylinder and piston. In the shooting cycle excess pressure, caused by the most powerful cartridges, can be decreased automatically.

The stock provides superior comfort and a secure grip to ensure the highest performance during firing. The stock enhances the overall finish of the gun, being made of fine walnut carefully selected for its appearance, it is also hard wearing and weather resistant.

The Receiver has been completly and precisely machined from a solid block of special light alloy aluminium, with moveable parts made from steel and high quality light alloys. All metal parts are manufactured with special finishes which protect against, wear, tear and rusting. The receiver has been coated with a stylish matt black finish.

The trigger guard is made of heavy duty polymer, with a new semi-square shape making finger positioning easier. The trigger is chrome-plated for ultimate rust protection. The safety button is also newly designed, offering a wider surface for easy operation (and can be reversed for left handed shooters).

TheA400 Xplor Light, to give it its full name,is chambered for 3" cartridges, which means that the action is slightlyshorter than the Unico model with a corresponding reduction in weight. The new Beretta A400 Xplor Action is the first semi-automatic field shotgun to be equipped, as standard, with an electronic device which alongside other functions also counts fired shots.
